I originally trained as a Teacher of English, and I have a Master’s in Linguistics. I have long experience as a language teacher and educator, in which my interest was always in helping people to find the words to say what they really wanted to and the confidence to say it.

My counselling training was with the Gloucestershire Counselling Service in Stroud, Gloucestershire, where in 2004 I completed a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling followed by a further year of Graduate Training.

More recently I have completed the Classical Theory module at the Severnside Institute for Psychotherapy and have just started the 2 year Infant Observation Module.  I am also undertaking training at WPF Therapy in London that will qualify me to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
